We got an early start from
Montgomery, driving to Gulf Port MS. We met Randy Hembree
there. He had been on a Presbyterian mission in Gulf Port for a
week. We drove on to Bay St Louis, and checked into our
facilities at about 3:00 PM. We went through orientation with HFH
and the church where we are staying, and then saw a beautiful sunset on
the gulf.
Our team is about 35 people: 3 Americorps
volunteers,
11 from our group representing Rotary ( although only 5 are Rotarians),
6 from a Florida Rotary group, and Arch Woodard with 2 classmates from
his Naval Academy days.
